About our Winter Academy
The York Region Lions Football Association is pleased to share the return of our Winter Academy. Pending all Public Health and Provincial Sport Organization Return to Play Guidelines, we will be offering a winter training program for players aged 5-16.
Winter Football Academy
Beginning mid January 2021, players will receive instruction in all aspects of football in a fun, competitive and non-contact setting. Sessions will prepare players for the upcoming 2021 Spring Competitive and Spring Development Seasons. Highlights include:
- footwork
- speed enhancement
- passing
- rushing
- receiving
- line play
- blocking
- pass and run defense
Age Groups
Tyke - players born in 2013, 2014 & 2015
Atom - players born in 2011 & 2012
Peewee - players born in 2009 & 2010
Bantam - players born in 2007 & 2008
Junior Varsity - players born in 2005 & 2006
