York Region Lions is a registered non profit, and designs flag and tackle fees to meet the costs of delivering programming. This can include:
- equipment purchase
- equipment certification
- field costs
- officials costs
- coach training/screening
- structural costs (website and CRM)
Refund policies will vary based on the start date of a program. When your player registers, they take up a seat which means other players are turned away. This is considered in our refund policy.
Typically:
- Up to 50% of the registration fee will be refunded up to two weeks prior to the beginning of the program
- No refund will be provided after the first game of a regular tackle season
- Medical releases and associated refunds are assessed on a case by case basis
For development series please note there are typically no refunds. In some cases we will refund partial fees, as the seat has been taken up and we are unable to recruit a new player to fill that spot.
