2026 Volunteer & Manager Requirements 

1. Vulnerable Sector Screening (Once every 3 years)

• Must be completed through your local police service:

  • York Region
  • Durham Region
  • Toronto
  • South Simcoe 

• Required for all individuals working with minors

• If you have one within the last 3 years, upload the same VSS you used prior. We still need proof every year you have it.

• Police officers, firefighters, teachers, and EMTs may upload proof of employment when prompted on the website

2. Football Ontario Insurance (Annual)

• Must be completed every year.

• Volunteer Insurance is free.

• Required for all Volunteers

• You need a TeamLinkt account to register. 

• Go to 2026 Volunteer Registration > Tackle Volunteer
  • Login to TeamLinkt
  • Fill out information
  • When prompted for organization, select York Region Football Association
  • You do not have to upload a Background check. just bypass it.

3. Volunteer Registration (Annual)

• Register as a volunteer through the York Lions website

• If you do not have a RAMP account, you will be prompted to create one
