We hope this message finds you all in great spirits. We're thrilled to share some exciting news about the upcoming 2025 Spring season for our Lions in the OSFL (Ontario Spring Football League).
Get ready for an action-packed season with each team guaranteed 8 games before playoffs!
Our 2025 Spring/Summer Tackle program boasts 6 fantastic teams participating in Full Tackle programs. Please note that, just like in any sport, playing time on a team isn't guaranteed. Players new to the program or moving up from a younger age division may experience less playing time initially. However, we encourage all players to attend practices, work hard, and stay determined—improvement is the name of the game!
Here’s a quick overview:
Cost: For the Spring 2025 Tackle season, the fees per team cover various aspects, including training camps, equipment renewal, socks/jerseys/pants, field rentals, coach development, HUDL, and bussing where required by the league.
Spring Tackle is
U10 (born in 2015/16):
- Practices: 2x per week (Monday/Wednesday) from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
- Season: Mid-April to the beginning of August
- Games begin: May 2025
- Program registration fee: $900 + insurance
U12 (born in 2013/14):
- Practices: 2x per week (Monday/Wednesday) from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
- Season: Mid-April to the beginning of August
- Games begin: May 2025
- Program registration fee: $900 + insurance
U14 (born in 2011/12): -
- Practices: 2x per week (Monday/Wednesday) from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
- Season: Mid-April to the beginning of August
- Games begin: May 2025
- Program registration fee: $900 + insurance
U16 (born in 2009/10): -
- Practices: 2x per week (Tuesday/Thursday) from 7-9 PM
- Season: Mid-April to the beginning of August
- Games begin: May 2025
- Program registration fee: $900 + insurance
U18 (born in 2006/07/08 with 10 spots per game):
- Practices: 2x per week (Tuesday/Thursday) from 7-9 PM
- Season: Mid-April to the beginning of August
- Games begin: May 2025
- Program registration fee: $900 + insurance
U19 Women's (born in 2007, 2008, 2009):
- Practices: 2x per week from 7-9 PM (days to be confirmed)
- Season: April - June 2025
- Games begin: April 2025
- Program registration fee: $900 + insurance
Home Games
Lions home games are always on Sundays at St. Maximilian Kolbe CHS in Aurora. The game schedule will be posted by April 2025.
Remember, all equipment needed to play will be loaned to the player for the season (except cleat shoes). To receive equipment, fees must be paid.
